In August of 2008, the Ontario Provincial Police invited the Niagara Regional Police Service to partner with them in a missing persons initiative originally created by the OPP in May of 2006. The initiative was web-based and would allow the NRPS an opportunity to showcase the outstanding missing persons and unidentified human remains in the Niagara Region. The joint partnership is part of the broader OPP website dedicated to missing persons in the Province of Ontario, with an opportunity for local Niagara cases to be publicized.
