The Field Support Division provides highly skilled and trained units in support of field officers. Members of each specialized unit undergo varying degrees of training to ensure they carry out their support duties in the most effective manner possible.

The primary objective of the Field Support Division is to ensure that members understand their function is to support officers in the field. To achieve this the field officers must feel that support officers have their best interest at hand.

To ensure that Field Support officers attain their objective, meetings are held with the Divisional Superintendent, Inspector and Unit Commanders to develop a clear message to support officers. Members are encouraged to present themselves and their units in a favorable light to each field member of the Service.

Field Support units continue to work with other Police Services and units within our Service to ensure resources are shared. The present and future sharing of resources will maximize the availability of equipment and personnel.
