Document National Parole Board Pardon Application
Purpose Used by person(s) seeking to have information about their previous criminal conviction(s) not given out without approval of the Solicitor General of Canada.
Details Pardons are issued by the National Parole Board and are a recognition of good conduct. They are granted under the Criminal Records Act.
Result A pardon may be granted, denied or revoked.
Processing Arrange appointment with the NRPS for the purpose of fingerprints and submit same to RCMP. Await RCMP’s certified copy of criminal record (6 weeks). Obtain local NRPS records check (4 weeks). Additional records checks are required from each police agency jurisdiction in which the applicant resided within the last 5 years. Complete, sign, submit Pardon Application to the National Parole Board for processing (18+ months). Identification required.

Fee $50.00 – Local police records check
$25.00 – Fingerprints taken by NRPS
$25.00 – RCMP certified copy of criminal record
$50.00 – National Parole Board processing fee
