The Niagara Regional Police Service presently employs an officer in the role of a labour relations mediator. The officer assigned to this function holds the rank of Inspector and is primarily responsible for receiving, investigating and determining resolutions for formal grievances and labour issues arising from the Niagara Region Police Association. Additional duties include oversight and management of the Career Development Unit and the Recruiting Unit.
