Registration
of "Previously Registered" Firearms
REQUIREMENT #1
- The new law requires all firearms owners in
Canada to have a valid firearms licence is January 1, 2001.
REQUIREMENT #2
NOTE
- There are only two forms with which to register
firearms. Both are available at local post offices. These
forms can also be downloaded from the Canadian
Firearms Centre (CFC) website.
- Application to register "previously
registered" firearms. (This form is about the size of one-half sheet of
paper and has olive lettering on it).
- Each application form has it's own unique bar
code on each page. If you are re-registering more than one:
- photocopy only the firearm information page
as many times as required. This will let you register all
your registered firearms on one registration form.
- There is no fee for re-registering previously
registered firearms.
