The position of Domestic Violence/ Victims’ Services Coordinator was created by the Niagara Regional Police Service, to comply with Provincial Adequacy Standards, created by the Ontario Legislature.

The coordinator’s role is to monitor how the Service investigates and deals with domestic violence complaints in general and how the Service complies with the standards. The coordinator also deals with victims’ issues of all types.

There are many partners involved in the delivery of quality service to victims. Some are highly trained professionals and some are highly motivated volunteers. Between these groups, lies a cross section of extremely dedicated private and public organizations. The joint purpose of all is to lessen the suffering experienced by victims of crime and tragic circumstances.
