Public Release – Criminal Impaired Driving Offences – May 6th to May 12th, 2024

In an effort to bring further attention and deterrence to driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, the Niagara Regional Police Service will be reporting the names of those people who are charged with an alleged criminal impaired driving offence in the Region.

Detectives Looking for Assistance in Relation to a Disturbance Incident in St. Catharines

On Thursday, May 9, 2024 at approximately 10:20pm, 1 district (St. Catharines/Thorold) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Elizabeth Street and Henry Street in the City of St. Catharines for a report of a disturbance. 

Investigation revealed a female was heard in distress in the area possibly involving a dark coloured 4 door sedan vehicle with dark tinted windows.

In May of 2024, detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service 3 District Street Crime unit began an investigation into the illegal possession of a firearm by a male suspect in the City of Welland.

On May 10th, 2024, at approximately 5:00am, detectives executed a warrant at a residence in the area of Harold Avenue and East Main Street in the City of Welland and arrested 7 suspects.
