Port Colborne Family Arrested as a Result of a Theft Investigation

On March 31, 2024, 6 District (Port Colborne/ Wainfleet) uniform officers responded to a report of a theft of a credit card.

The resulting investigation revealed that a stolen credit card was fraudulently used from March 12, 2024, through March 25, 2024, at multiple businesses across the Niagara Region.  Investigating officers obtained security footage from the businesses and were able to identify three involved suspects.

Human Trafficking Investigation Leads to Niagara Falls Woman’s Arrest

In March 2024, the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Human Trafficking Unit commenced an investigation into the trafficking of a person over the age of 18 years.

As a result of the investigation, a female suspect known as “Candy” was identified. On Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Hung Mei WONG (56 years), of Niagara Falls, was arrested by Human Trafficking Detectives. WONG has been transported to the NRPS Prisoner Management Unit in Niagara Falls and is facing the following Criminal Code charges: 

Public Notice of Police Training – NRPS ETU and NPP Training at Table Rock Complex

On Friday, May 10, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service Emergency Task Unit (ETU) and the Niagara Parks Police Service will be conducting joint training.  The training will take place in the immediate area of the Table Rock Complex located at 6650 Niagara River Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Members of the public in the area should expect:
